Welcome to Omaha, NE and the 15th Annual Nursing Organizations Alliance Fall Summit!
Welcome to Omaha, Nebraska and to the 15th Annual Nursing Organizations Alliance (NOA) Fall Summit!
The City of Omaha is named after an American Indian Tribe and means “those going against the wind or current.” I am sure we have all felt that way as we work toward increasing membership in our associations, advocating within the legislative arena for our patients, or presenting an opposing opinion during a board meeting. We are excited to have you join us in Omaha and hope you leave re-energized. We have an amazing agenda filled with opportunities to engage with your peers, educate your mind, as well as refill that “glass” that may at times seem half empty.
The program begins with Suzanne Gordon, author and award-winning journalist, who lectures on topics of patient safety and on helping to teach and encourage better communication and teamwork in healthcare settings. Breakout sessions will include presentations on how to use social media, what you need to know about cyber security as well as Ignite® , where your colleagues share enlightening information in a fast and fun format you won't want to miss. The program closes with D.J. Eagle Bear Vanas inspiring us to apply principles of the Native American warrior spirit to business and life.
We hope you find value in the Fall Summit as well as the other programs we offer:
- Nurse In Washington Internship (NIWI), is March 12 - 14, 2017 in Washington, DC. This three-day meeting brings together all nursing specialties to speak as one voice on issues common to the nursing profession
- Nursing Alliance Leadership Academy (NALA), is August 26 - 27, 2017 in Louisville, KY. This two-day conference prepares nurses to serve on national professional association’s board of directors.
- Webinars are offered at least three times throughout the year on topics identified through our member surveys. The webinars are recorded and available if you are not able to participate as scheduled.
Please be sure to join us during the Business Meeting for the presentation of the strategic plan as we continue to ensure NOA is focused on the needs of the membership.
